All-Season Tires
All-Season tires are typically the most popular choice for consumers as a year-round tire that adequately meets all weather conditions.
Traditionally sold for year round performance, all-season tires are intended for moderate weather where the temperature does not drop below 7°C. In Canada, a typical all-season tire performs at its optimal level during the most temperate months of April-September, as when the average temperature hits the 7°C point, the rubber compounds in all-season tires harden, reducing traction and braking ability.
- Low rolling resistance for fuel economy
- Reduced siping and grooves for ride comfort and reduced road noise
- Long tread life for high mileage use
- Run-Flat/extended mobility
- Varying degrees of performance
All-season tires come standard as Original Equipment on a wide variety of favourite cars, Utility vehicles (CUV/SUV), and light trucks
Performance Tires
Performance tires are designed primarily for high performance applications on sport compact cars, sports sedans and coupes.
Most performance tires have a higher speed ratings. These are considered very "sticky" and are designed for the best handing and stability. Many offer a good balance in dry and wet traction performance. The sticky trade-off is shorter tire life than all-season tires.
Note: Many high-end coupes and sedans are being fitted with High Performance (HP) and Ultra High Performance (UHP) tires due to their higher speed ratings and handling capabilities.
All-Weather Tires
All-Season and Winter In One Tire
All Weather Tires are becoming increasingly popular as their flexibility and design benefit a variety of drivers and driving preferences.
Designed to handle both All-Season and Winter conditions, All Weather Tires concentrate their compound and tread patterns on light to moderate rain, ice and snow conditions, resulting in a tire that contains the Three Peak Mountain Snowflake designation, and can be used year-round.
Winter Car Tires
The very best in winter traction
Winter tires are not just for snow but also for frost, ice, slush and all cold weather conditions; in fact, anything below 7 degrees celcius.
Winter tires feature enhanced snow tire traction technology for dig, grip and braking; maintaining traction in low temperatures even with a thin water layer on ice. Winter tires are one of the most researched and technically advanced products you will ever install on your vehicle.
Although a all-season tire with a M&S (Mud & Snow) rating will keep the authorities happy when travelling outside the Vancouver Lower mainland (GVRD). True winter tires are much safe if you travel regularily at high elevations or in the mountain roads like the Sea To Sky or Coquihalla.

Difference between All-Season, All-Weather and Winter Tires
The primary differences between all-season and winter tires are the rubber compounds used to build the tires, and the design of the biting edges and siping for traction, water and snow evacuation.
Manufacturers design all-season tires using compounds that function well when faced with varying environmental conditions. The compound will work in varying conditions; however, it is not the best option for either extreme.
Many Canadian highways prohibit vehicles using all-season tires without chains during the winter months.

All-Terrain Truck Tires
Rugged Looks, All Purpose Tire
The all terrain light truck tire offers added traction for light trucks, vans and SUVs with more durability for rougher conditions that a highway tread tire.
The lug tread contributes to reduce slippage in marginal conditions. Many all-terrain tires include a mud & snow designations clearing them for occational mountain pass usage, or the mountain snow flake for full time winter usage.
To balance the needs of gravel and rock with pavement, the tread pattern of All-Terrain tires will have small tighter tread blocks. The tighter tread blocks result in reduced road noise and a smoother ride when driving on dry pavement compared to a Mud-Terrain Tire
Because the lug is not as deep as a mud terrain, they are more quiet on hardpack and highway surfaces and typically wear better.
Mud-Terrain Truck Tires
Great On or Off Road Performance
Mainly designed for more extreme off-road driving and will have thicker heavier tread blocks and sidewalls. Thicker sidewalls help protect the tire from some of the abuse they may experience while driving off-road.
